Yes! We were inspired during the International Speech contest by all 4 of our contestants – Siva, Melissa, Freda Wu and Nora Ridzwan as they inspired us to work hard for our dreams, learn to market yourself well and dance in the rain because in the end, it’ll all be worth it!
After such inspiration, we were thoroughly entertained and tickled to the core by all 7 of our Table Topics contestants including newcomer Kevin Ng, Freda Wu, Sivakumar Kumaresan and Johan Lee as they tried their best to answer the age-old question ‘What do women want?’!! haha! Anyone want to continue this debate?!
A huge round of applause to ALL 8 of our contestants for being exemplary in their courage and determination to do their best! Each of you are such an inspiration to us all to step up, embrace the challenge and put yourself willingly in a contest environment to becoming a better speaker!
Special thanks to Contest Chairperson Joanna Liew for leading the evening and Chief Judge Christine Yap, DTM for briefing judges and role players. We had a total of 31 members and guests who came to support our contestants so thank you for being there!
Our first and second place winners will be representing the Club at the Area K1 Contest on 12th March 2010 at SESB Building. Contact Area K4 Governor Ivy Fung ivyfung@tm.net.my for more details. Be sure to be there to support our champions!
